Every flourish should make the app clearer, faster, or more enjoyable—not simply busier.
Built for the things
we mean to remember.
Shelfie began with a familiar little failure: buying something twice while something else quietly expired behind it.
Visibility changes behavior.
Food waste and unnecessary buying rarely begin with indifference. More often, the information we need is scattered or invisible at the moment a decision is made.
Shelfie makes that information useful: what is here, where it lives, what needs attention, and what could become dinner. The aim is not perfect household administration. It is a calmer, more informed next choice.
Version 1.0 pairs practical inventory tools with privacy-minded Apple technologies, including local notifications, on-device receipt recognition, on-device recipe generation, and optional Sign in with Apple.
Core use does not require an account. Receipt text and recipe generation stay on-device.
Shelfie highlights the next useful action without turning a forgotten yogurt into a moral crisis.
Custom locations, flexible units, and adjustable reminders adapt to the home rather than the reverse.
The shelf stays. The signal gets brighter.
The website now uses the same deeper dimensional green as the app icon. The amber dot on the “i” has become Shelfie’s motion signature: a small, optimistic nudge that something is ready for attention.
